CLASSICAL PILATES

Classical Pilates is a pilates method rooted in the original teachings of Joseph Pilates. It emphasizes precise movements, controlled breathing, and a deep connection between body and mind.

Meet Miek

Movement & dance have always been a true passion of Miek. She spent years teaching children’s dance and classical ballet at Arabesque Dance Studio, where her love for Pilates first took root.

Her journey as a Pilates instructor began with training under renowned experts Marjorie Oron in The Hague and Romana Kryzanowska, a direct disciple of Joseph Pilates.

Constantly refining her skills, Miek has trained in specialized workshops across the globe, from Triadball Pilates to pregnancy Pilates, and advanced anatomy. Her dedication ensures that her students receive the highest quality instruction and support on their wellness journey.

In addition to her work with clients of all backgrounds, Miek is also a Pilates instructor for dancers at Junior Ballet Antwerp (JBA)de! Kunsthumaniora and WArd/waRD - Ann Van den Broek. Here, she combines her expertise in dance and Pilates to help young ballet dancers enhance their strength, flexibility, and body awareness, supporting their development as well-rounded performers.

The classes we offer

Explore our range of Pilates classes designed for all levels and needs. Our mat lessons, held in small groups of 6 to 15 participants, progress from beginner to advanced, refining your technique and control as you advance.

For a blend of mat and equipment exercises, try our wall unit lessons in groups of up to 7, or opt for private lessons for one-on-one personalized workouts and rehabilitation using a variety of Pilates equipment.

ā€‹

Prefer working out with a friend or a group? We also offer duo, trio, and quarto lessons tailored for two, three, or four participants.
